Terms & Conditions of Hire
Any person/organisation hiring our inflatables are fully responsible for the equipment and will be liable for any damage or injuries occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use. All persons using the inflatable do so at their own risk and it is the sole responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that anyone using the equipment adheres to this hire agreement. Jump ‘n’ Bounce cannot accept responsibility for any damage or injuries caused by using this equipment, however caused.
- The maximum age limit for the inflatable is 11 years. Please ensure that no one over this age uses the inflatable especially adults. This is due to safety, manufacturing and insurance reasons.
- It is essential that use of the equipment is closely supervised at all times by a
responsible adult (18+). Statistics show that incidents mostly occur when use of the equipment is unsupervised.
- No shoes, glasses, jewellery, buckles, key-rings, metal-studded clothing, toys or other sharp instruments or any other similar items which could cause damage to others or the equipment, allowed on the inflatable.
- No pets to be allowed on the inflatable.
- No face paints, party poppers, coloured streamers or silly string must be used near or on the inflatable. They make a considerable mess and will permanently stain or damage the unit for which the hirer will be liable for payment to clean or repair.
- No smoking, fires or barbecues to be used on/near inflatable.
- No food or drink to be allowed on the inflatable.
- Do not relocate the inflatable. It has been positioned in a location that has been assessed for risks by our personnel. If it must be moved for safety reasons, deflate it, disconnect and remove the blower then lift the inflatable (this can be done with a person lifting each corner) - do not under any circumstances drag it.
- Do not allow anyone on the inflatable when inflating/deflating or when deflated to prevent risk of injury and protect the inflatable structure. Deflate the inflatable when not supervised or in use (i.e. during adverse weather conditions). The unit must not be used in wet and windy conditions and must also be suitably anchored at all times.
- Do not allow children to swing, climb or sit on the inflatable walls. The front safety step is to assist users in getting on/off safely and should not be used for bouncing on.
- Do not overcrowd the inflatable. Limit the number of users to allow each child enough room to play safely. Try to avoid small and large children using the inflatable at the same time. It is recommended that no more than 6 (max) children use the inflatable at any one time, but common sense will determine whether this number should be reduced.
- Please warn children of the tie down points and make the area behind the inflatable,
where the electrical blower is sited, out of bounds for children.
- Ensure all electrical connections, extension leads, plugs and sockets, as well as the blower itself, are adequately protected from rain or water.
- If the inflatable fails for whatever reason, evacuate immediately to prevent injury.
- Consider medical conditions of the children using the inflatable (especially those with a history of neck or back problems). Asthmatics and children with special needs may require additional supervision while using this equipment.
- Ensure there is adequate first aid equipment available before using the equipment.
- The inflatable must be returned in an acceptable condition, i.e. clean, unsoiled and
undamaged. If it is dirty or damaged The Hirer will be liable for the full repair or cleaning costs.
